A-Z LECTURES and CATEGORIES

Wolverhampton

'An amateur group founded in 1951, the Society has witnessed over a half a century of fantastic achievements in astronomy and space exploration. The Society is open to anyone with an interest in Astronomy (including complete beginners who are more than welcome) and all tastes and experience levels are catered for. Experts and experienced members are available to give new members help and guidance in understanding this most interesting scientific subject ... We arrange an interesting and varied programme of lectures from professional and experienced amateur astronomers, plus informal meetings and discussions.'

'At Wolverhampton Photographic Society we are passionate about photography - whether it’s stunning landscapes, moody and atmospheric black and whites, perfectly captured nature or photos which show your creative side. We love photography in all its forms and we love people who love their photography ... Our weekly meetings are warm and sociable with a friendly membership and a range of interesting activities including guest speakers, members’ presentations and our annual internal Competitions (for projected and printed images) where we compete against each other.'
