'Hosts an exciting programme of events including academic lectures and seminars, graduation ceremonies, open days, sport fixtures, musical performances and art exhibitions ... The majority of our events are open to Imperial students, staff, alumni and the public. Events are often very popular with a limited number of places available. Please ensure you register early for your chosen event; registration details are indicated on the individual events pages. All events are free unless stated. Full details of individual events can be accessed on the events calendar.' Note also the events programme of the Friends of Imperial College. ‘In addition to open events for prospective students, we also offer an array of free lectures, workshops and talks which are open to the public. These events, on a stimulating range of subjects, are ideal if you live nearby, are visiting London, or if you have previously studied at London Met and would like to reengage with our community ... Lunch Hour Lectures are an opportunity for anyone to sample the exceptional research work taking place at the university, in bite size chunks. Speakers are drawn from across UCL and lectures frequently showcase new research and recent academic publications. Lunch Hour Lectures require no pre-booking, are free to attend and are open to anyone on a first-come, first-served basis.'
