Annual Distinguished Lecture Series 'These public lectures, organised for the specific benefit of the MPhil students, are designed to attract speakers of international standing and repute to give their views on Sustainable Development. Speakers include leading experts from Cambridge University as well as from other leading universities, government bodies, multi-national corporations and international organisations. The opportunity to cross examine such leading thinkers in the question and answer sessions is seen to be a key activity associated with the MPhil programme ... The events are free and open to the public.' The Annual Lecture does not seem to have been held in recent years.

Events marked green are Members Events which means they are open and available to all members - subject to capacity and demand. Chatham House operates a transparent and equitable "first come, first served" policy around registration for these events. Events marked yellow are open unless otherwise stated, but require registration and/or a small fee. Red events are either invitation only or require a fee. Please check individual event details for further information.'

Open Lectures & Talks'The first event to formalise the establishment of the Ditchley Foundation was a lecture given by the Provost, Harry Hodson. Since that date, a lecture has - with the exceptions of 1977, 1979 and 2001 - been held annually. Usually delivered by a distinguished individual from public life, the lecture has become the largest regular event at Ditchley and since 1975 has been held in June/July to mark the close of our conference season. It has become a tradition that the nationality of the speaker rotates between Britain, North America, and a third country. The topic of the lecture is of the speaker's own choosing.'
