'Even if you aren't a member, come along and meet us to see what's on offer. We are very pleased to welcome guests to any of our meetings. There are some terrific speakers lined up. We charge no entry fee, but if you'd like tea and biscuits at the interval then all we ask is for a nominal donation. You won't even have to help with the washing up afterwards!'

'Our programme runs from October to June each year, with meetings on the first Tuesday of each month ... The lecture starts at 2:30 pm but we encourage members to arrive from 1.45pm for a chat and a cup of coffee or tea. We are usually finished by 4.00pm.'
