'The society is for anyone interested in geology, whether beginners or experienced. We hold monthly talks on a wide range of earth science topics ... Meetings usually take place on Thursdays ... and start at 7.30 pm unless otherwise noted.'

'We are one of the smaller NCCPG groups, but we have an enthusiastic membership and an eclectic mix of National Plant Collections ... We run a programme of talks, garden visits and social events ... Talks usually last about an hour, followed by refreshments and a chance to talk to the speaker and local members afterwards.'

'Our friendly and informal indoor meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month from September to May. We offer a range of illustrated talks and video shows on national and international bird and wildlife topics. RSPB sales goods, bird food sales, membership information, recruitment and a monthly raffle are available at the meetings. We serve refreshments in the interval at a modest charge.'
