'Docomomo-uk is a group of architects, researchers, and other enthusiasts of the Modern Movement in Architecture. This phenomena came about in the 1920s and 30s fired by new discoveries in materials and techniques, and by the need for social change. It is a Movement that defines the 20th and 21st centuries as it left historicism behind and created a new identity. We live in an age of discovery and progress; Docomomo seeks to highlight and protect these achievements.'
