'The Embroiderers' Guild exists to build awareness of stitch and textile art. We educate, encourage, inspire and promote the achievement of excellence ... We have a number of independent stitch groups who are affiliated to the Embroiderers' Guild.' 'Groups which meet and converse in the UK and beyond, usually gathering once every month. The event was founded in London, UK by Dr Scott Campbell in 1999, for all those interested in science, history, psychology, philosophy, investigative journalism and how to examine extraordinary claims of all types. A speaker (or number of speakers) is invited each month to present a topic of interest, which is followed by a discussion in a relaxed and friendly pub atmosphere.'

'The Sussex Family History Group was founded in 1972. It has about 3500 members in Sussex, the rest of the UK, and around the world. There are five meeting centres in the County ... If you live in Sussex you are likely to find one fairly near to you.'

'The Theosophical Society is a worldwide organisation founded in 1875. Its primary aim is universal brotherhood without distinction of race, creed, colour, gender or social background. It is based on the realisation that life in all its diverse forms, human and non-human, is indivisibly One ... Toward this end the Headquarters and its National Sections sponsor public lectures, seminars, events and study groups on theosophical and allied themes.'

'The Club was formed on 26th April 1904 as Worthing Camera Club, and has seen a whole host of changes over the years to embrace the technological advances in photography, and continually and to continually strive for improvement of the club. We normally meet every Tuesday evening between the months of September and April each year, and we always have a varied and interesting programme to cater for all of our members ... We welcome new members and through our regular schedule of club competitions, practical demonstration evenings, events and talks, we are all learning to improve our art.'

'The Worthing Society, originally the Worthing Civic Society (founded 1973), was formed in 1982. Its main aims are to conserve and preserve the architectural amenities of Worthing and the surrounding area , and to stimulate interest and research into the town’s history. It is concerned principally with conservation and preservation but also operates within broader terms to enhance the present conditions of the town and surrounding area, the character and life of which it is anxious to safeguard, and to act as a watch-dog for future developments.'

'The overall objective is good intellectual discussion of theological issues on the broadest possible basis. Whilst the emphasis is predominantly biblical and Christian we are non-partisan and a range of faiths and non-religious outlooks in our regular gatherings ... Speakers are drawn from as wide a perspective as are willing to share their thoughts: from leading scholars in their field to those nearer the start of their studies, from politicians to priests, and many more.'
