Overview

'Many village residents are members of the Beckford and District Gardening Club, a friendly, thriving and lively club which draws its members from a number of local villages. The Club holds monthly evening meetings throughout the autumn and winter, with talks or demonstrations about a wide range of subjects of interest to gardeners.'

'We meet on the second Saturday of each month at 2.15 for 2.45 pm. Meetings generally include a speaker (with slides and/or plants), plant sales, table show, raffle and tea or coffee. There is an entrance fee of £2 per person (juniors free) to cover hire of the hall, speakers expenses and refreshments. Visitors are very welcome to join us.'

'Every fortnight, a guest speaker is invited to give a railway related presentation, which may be a slideshow, a video or a cine show. On the other Tuesday nights, members bring along their own slides, memory sticks, photographs & videos to share with other members. If you live locally and have an interest in railways, then please do not hesitate to come along on a Tuesday evening. You do not have to be a member to attend our society as you can visit as a guest, if you enjoy your visit then you are more than welcome to join.'
