‘The Society is completely independent and non-political and aims to work in partnership with local and regional authorities. It organises series of lectures and meetings throughout the year ad its income is derived from subscriptions from current and former residents. It also houses the Heritage Centre in Station Road - on display a remarkable range of artefacts relating to the industrial and domestic history of the town.’

Overview

‘We’re somewhere artistry meets activism, the secular meets the spiritual, politics meets positivity. We’re somewhere to come together once a year, where we’re just as likely to dream up a better world as we are to dance and debate, to pray and to party (ideally all of those things at the same time).’ Held Late August.

Overview

'Meetings at Kettering are held at 7:30pm on the second Monday of every month except August. Like all the other branches we usually have a speaker on various subjects related to family history and an opportunity to socialise with other members and friends. One of the joys of family history is being able to share our experiences and knowledge with other members, especially beginners and you will always find someone willing to offer help and advice if needed.'
