'A series of talks is held at Cardiff University on alternate Thursday evenings from September through to July, from 7.30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Attendances at the fortnightly talks are usually in excess of 70 and on some occasions during the year will reach 80 to 100. Annual Public Lecture: 'Visitors will be granted special access to the library for the lecture; there will be a drinks reception in the e-lounge next to the Reading Room from 4.15 pm ... This Centre promotes and supports the study of late antique religion and culture from the late Hellenistic Period to the early Middle Ages, also in relation to earlier and later periods, in particular Classical Antiquity and the modern world.'
