'We are a growing and enthusiastic society of 100+ enthusiastic members who share a common passion and curious wonderment for our amazing night skies. We meet each month, with guest speakers and club members giving talks on various subjects followed by Q&As.'

'The Club was formed in 1989, emerging from the Ornithological section of the Cardiff Naturalists Society. We’re dedicated to the enjoyment, study and conservation of the bird life in this part of South Wales and we aim to cater for the needs of all birdwatchers in the area, and membership is open to all and ranges from beginners and back-garden birdwatchers to those who are professionally involved in conservation. Our common interest is the enjoyment of birds ... We publish an annual Bird Report, organise a full year-long programme of field trips and walks, including a monthly walk at Kenfig National Nature Reserve, and a series of indoor talks and presentations from October through to April.'
