'Established in 1960, the NVS improves standards of vegetable growing by striving to foster a society that is modern, successful and welcoming to all vegetable growers ... The Society ... is organised into five Regional Branches, each covering its own area of the country. Associated with these Branches are local District Associations, also known as DA's, who hold local meetings, usually monthly, to talk and learn about growing vegetables, swapping seeds, plants & ideas.'
