Amersham Museum
Listing Details
'Amersham Museum reopened in summer 2017 after a major refurbishment and expansion. The museum’s medieval hall house is now more clearly visible for visitors to see and enjoy. The new museum displays explore life in the town in 1580, 1775, 1892, 1939 and 1964. Complete your visit with a wander through our wonderful herb garden, which is packed with plants used for medicinal purposes ... We are an independent museum and registered charity, run almost entirely by volunteers. We do not receive funding from local or central government ... The Friends of Amersham Museum (FOAM) promote, support and assist the museum by raising money through subscriptions, donations and fund raising events. Members benefit from free entry to the museum, preferential rates to talks & lectures, early and private viewings to exhibitions and a calendar of social events.'
