Open Lectures & Talks
'Throughout the winter months the Society holds monthly meetings to which all those with an interest in local history are welcome. The format of the meeting can vary somewhat, but usually there is a guest speaker with a particular interest in some aspect or period of history. There is often also an opportunity for a question and answer session and to discuss the topic of the evening. Thereafter, there is an opportunity to meet with the speaker and to socialise with other members over some light refreshments ... Meetings are on the last Wednesday of every month from September to April (December excepted) beginning at 7.30 pm.'
