'The EBKA currently has more than 800 members, some with many decades of practical beekeeping experience, while others are newcomers to the craft, bringing enthusiasm and dedication to their new-found hobby ... Membership of the Essex Beekeepers’ Association is through local groups, known as Divisions ... Each Division within Essex holds a number of talks and meetings throughout the year, covering many aspects of the craft of beekeeping.'
'One of the highlights of the county’s cultural calendar. Each year the festival hosts 100+events in a range of venues across Essex ... The Festival was established by Essex County Council in 1999 to celebrate the book in all its forms with the widest possible audiences. It has grown exponentially since then. Now recognised as one of the leading festivals of its kind in the East of England, it invites writers and artists from all over the world to take part in its activities and events.' Normally held during June.
'Formed in 2005, Essex Egyptology Group members and visitors enjoy a stimulating programme of talks and study days.'
'We protect Essex's precious green spaces - past and present - by identifying and recording their details, and making that information available; and we influence Essex's future green spaces for the well-being of everyone, by using our knowledge to provide informed comment on relevant plans for development ... We organise events, including garden visits, talks, social gatherings and courses. Many of these are at Writtle University College with which we have close ties.'
