That Lecture has more recently been organized by the Friends of the Centre for English Local History - so I am citing here that Organization instead. The Friends 'are an active and enthusiastic group of local historians, with a wide range of interests. Members may attend the Thursday afternoon seminars held in Leicester, receive our annual Newsletter and join any of the events on our programme, which include outings, study days or weekends and conferences'.

'The Society organizes an ambitious series of lectures at which speakers from academic and public life present papers in English and Welsh. Our meetings are held in London and Wales, at venues that include the Senedd in Cardiff Bay and the National Library of Wales in Aberystwyth. A special lecture in Welsh - known as the Sir T. H. Parry-Williams Memorial Lecture - is also held at the National Eisteddfod of Wales each year. The Society also hosts many events in conjunction with others, including the Institute of Welsh Affairs, Wales in London and the Mongomeryshire Society ...
