Southwell Minster

'The Cathedral and Parish Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary has stood in the centre of Southwell for centuries. The Minster as it is known locally is a beacon of living faith for the people of Nottinghamshire, witnessing through the centuries to God’s love for his people, and today inspiring all who come as pilgrims or tourists ... The Minster hosts a range of events throughout the year, many of them are free of charge whilst some are provided as a means of fundraising for the numerous things we need to do to maintain the Minster and to keep it free for all those who visit us. Throughout the year we aim to have a balanced programme of events that we hope will appeal to a wide range of people.'
