'The Society focuses on all aspects of the historic county, working to protect and record our heritage and historic environment. Historic buildings and ancient churches, documentary research and the landscapes of the past, local history – as well as archaeology and fieldwork – all are within our remit ... We run a Winter Lecture programme every year, one Saturday each month from November to March starting at 2.30pm.'

Founded 1981. Regular programme of indoor and outdoor meetings.

'Formed in 1976 to encourage and promote the study of family history in Buckinghamshire including the historic county. With over 1000 members the Society caters for those with Bucks ancestry and members researching ancestry elsewhere. There are regular meetings held in Aylesbury, Bourne End and Bletchley. Most meetings have a speaker talking about an aspect of family history although we do have occasional themed meetings where members are invited to talk on a subject from their own family history research.'

'Buckinghamshire Gardens Trust’s mission is to record and conserve the gardens and parks of historic Buckinghamshire and to aid in the creation and restoration of gardens, parks and green spaces in the historic county ... Since our foundation in 1997 we have worked to raise awareness of the importance of parks, gardens and the designed landscape within the county of Buckinghamshire. We have done this by means of talks during the winter given by experts in their fields and, during the summer, visits to a variety of gardens and interesting sites, the majority of which are not normally open to the public.'

'With close to 500 registered beekeepers, the Buckinghamshire County Beekeepers Association is one of the larger Associations affiliated to the BBKA. We comprise four independent branch Associations, each with their own constitution, committee and operation. The role of the county Association is to represent the county at the BBKA, coordinate education across the county and run events that encompass members from all Branches.'
