Somerset Beekeepers' Association
Listing Details
'We provide training, promote best practice and offer advice, support and education to beekeepers and the public. Over the years our members have made – and continue to make - an impressive contribution to British beekeeping at both national and county level ... The Somerset Beekeepers Association is divided into twelve divisions, each corresponding to a different area of the county. Members can join any division, and also be members of more than one division. Members also don't have to live in Somerset, for example some members are from neighbouring counties such as Dorset or Devon ... The SBKA and each division organise lectures, usually in the "off-season" (i.e. autumn and winter, and into early spring) for beekeeping. Most divisional lectures are open to members of other divisions, and if in doubt just ask! Lectures are a great way to learn more about beekeeping and bees, and to help get you ready and excited for the next season.'
