'We typically hold one event per week, usually on a Tuesday night ... Third Tuesday is Event Night. This is the formal one - usually a lecture or workshop lead by an external speaker.' Many events are 'public Events which are open to everyone'.

Monthly meetings, Tuesday evenings. 'Most BCS Birmingham branch meetings are free to attend, and open to BCS members and non-members alike (exceptions are noted in the event details).'

'We aim to run 8 open meetings throughout this year; they are generally scheduled for the third Wednesday of every month ... Branch open meetings are open to everyone. Not just BCS members but any member of the public who may think they will derive some entertainment or useful information from one of our talks. Yes, that includes your spouse, partner, offspring, siblings ..... and you (thanks for reading this page, by the way!) Clearly, we don't want a load of kids running around unsupervised and bored silly, but we do welcome anyone who may get something out of one of our talks. So, if your son(s), daughter(s) or student(s) is/are interested, bring them along. Please don't wait for the invite, you don't need to ask permission, bring them along. There is no charge for attending, anyone interested is very welcome and we'll even provide tea and biscuits.'

'All meetings, unless otherwise stated, are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 6.30 pm ... Refreshments are available from 6.00 pm. All meetings are free of charge and no reservation is required, except where indicated otherwise below. Non members are welcome to all meetings.'

When capacity is very limited or we have to make special arrangements to gain entry to a site, we will ask you to book in advance and there will be a booking link on the event's web page.'
