'As well as, and sometimes linked to the extensive music and visual arts programme at Kings Place there are regular spoken word events. Throughout the year a weekly series of events every Monday evening is dedicated to the Spoken Word. "Words on Monday" offers a broad range of discussions, lectures and readings in a wide range of genres including poetry, journalism, fiction, drama, science and medicine ... Regular pre-concert talks are on offer before many of our concerts and occasional lectures on the visual art shows are given by artists and critics which we hope will assist your enjoyment of the paintings and sculpture at Kings Place. Some excellent study days in both music and visual arts are available from time to time based around the music and art that we have on offer.'
