It must become an active presence, a focal point where a nucleus of artists from all the contemporary arts can communicate urgent and needed messages. ALERT  'Having welcomed thousands of people through our doors since 2011, we are sad to announce that the venue is now permanently closed. The move follows a decision by the London Borough of Newham to change the usage of the building. We are pleased to announce however that we will continue our work outside of a building, entering a period of reflection as we build on the strong links we have developed locally and in the wider cultural sector over many years to develop a full programme of activities.'
