'Founded in 1930, to publish and make accessible scholarly editions of documents relating to the County of Norfolk and the City of Norwich, to promote the preservation of such documents and records, to assist educationally by lectures or otherwise in record research and generally to stimulate interest in archives relating to Norfolk ... The Norfolk Record Society has a regular programme of events and lectures. These are generally held in connection with the launch of our volumes, or topics linked to our past or future volumes and our annual general meeting. Some of our events are for members only, while others are open to non-members.'
